How we review brokers
This page exists so you can judge how much to trust what we publish. A stated methodology is the least a website about money should offer.
What we check
- Regulatory status: a search of the CVM's public registry (cvm.gov.br) to see whether the institution is authorized to operate in Brazil;
- Declared jurisdiction: where the company states it is registered, according to its own website and terms of use;
- Published catalog: asset classes the broker publicly advertises;
- Access channels: real sign-up and login addresses, and whether an app exists in the official stores;
- Risk warnings: whether the broker itself discloses the risks to users.
What we do not check
Being upfront about the limits of our research matters more than the list of what we did:
- We do not audit the finances of the broker nor confirm asset segregation;
- We do not test withdrawals with our own capital, except where a page expressly states this was done and shows the date;
- We do not measure latency or order execution on a live account;
- We have no access to internal data on complaints, chargebacks or account blocks.
In other words: our content organizes public information. It does not replace your own verification, and the most important test remains the one only you can run — depositing a small amount and requesting a withdrawal.
How the affiliate model affects the content
We earn a commission per sign-up. That creates a real incentive to write favorably, and it would be dishonest to deny it. Our counterpart is to publish on every page, with the same visual weight as the rest of the text:
- The absence of CVM authorization, where that is the case;
- A notice that the buttons lead to the partner platform, not the broker described;
- The risks of total loss of capital on leveraged products;
- The red flags that apply to any broker, including the ones we cover.
Updates and corrections
Every page shows the date it was last modified. Broker information ages fast — if you spot an error or something out of date, write to contato@duotide.com.br.
